Okay, this is weird. While searching for one thing online I found another. Many months ago I entered a poem into an online competition, for fun. They've flooded me with crazy offers since then but I didn't know they'd actually posted the poem online.
Here's it is, so check it out and tell me what you think of my 'moody period'. *LOL*:
Once
Cold lightning shatters the gut.
The harried soul
shakes in the knees and
a pain-wracked heart quests for Hope.
Hope's attention wanders, for others call for Hope.
Enshrouded in darkness, invisible wounds fester,
unreason and doubt render the heart
useless and,
glass-eyed, the wanderer wanders, wondering.
Welling eyes tap a soul's spring
and the internal fire rages,
all-consuming.
Hope shines faintly, not knowing of
the soul wounds.
Hope smiles casually and
the soul
reaches.
If you want to see it on the actual Poetry.com website (and maybe vote for it, because apparently it's a competition *L*), click here: Once.
Ciao for now.
